Unlike other chain hanger options, the bracket is designed to bolt into place, keeping it firmly mounted even after you uncouple your trailer - no separate piece that can be dropped, lost or stolen!Installing this safety chain bracket is easy and secure. It clamps onto virtually any standard 50mm shank, as long as the shank 28mm clearance between the mount and the hitch receiver. When towing, if a vehicle-trailer disconnect occurs, the hanger hooks are designed to fail if needed, allowing the chains to work properly. The hooks can easily be bent back into shape for use again.
